Join Our Cinema Volunteer Team!
We have a number of ways people can get involved at the cinema, and we’d love to have you on board.
Most of our volunteers help out as Front of House during movie screenings. We typically have two volunteers per session:
- Team Member 1 is responsible for running the movie, including any pre-movie announcements or information, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. They may also assist with ticketing and the candy bar if needed.
- Team Member 2 serves customers, handling ticket and candy bar sales.
At the end of each session, both volunteers work together to clean and close up the theatre.
All volunteers need to arrive 30 minutes prior to the screening they are rostered for.
Our regular screening days are:
- Thursday to Sunday
- Wednesdays afternoons during school holidays
Full training is provided for both roles. You’ll begin by shadowing one or more of our experienced volunteers, and once you feel confident, you can try it out yourself—with plenty of support along the way.
We’re grateful for whatever time you can offer—whether that’s a lot or just a little. We do ask for a minimum commitment of one screening per month.
If you have other skills or time you’d like to contribute outside of Front of House, we’re open to that too!
Key Attributes We’re Looking For:
- A friendly demeanor and willingness to engage with the public
- Good time management and reliability
- Basic cash handling skills (training provided)
